Sorry, I have no clue what this is about! LOL

The kids are doing great. Lindsay won an award for earning the most money for jump rope for heart. She was very proud of herself. It was nice to see her get a boost of confidence. She is so lacking in that area. I just wish I knew what I could do to help her.
Calvin is being his normal self. He still doesn't like the word NO, but then I don't know to many guys who do! hehehe
He's starting to say a few more words, but still nothing that would be helpful in every day situations. Go figure! But he knows the names of his favorite cars from the movie. He also knows who curious George is and loves him. He also starting to get into Melmo..as Calvin calls him, but to you and I it's Elmo. He has also decided he has to carry his blanket every where. So now I have Bummy and blanket, but on a plus side, Lindsay has gotten where leaving Bummy behind isn't that big of a deal. Actually Calvin and Blankie are sitting with me right now!

James still hasn't found a job. His old employer is fighting out unemployment benefits. Will know more about that tomorrow after he goes to court. I just hope we win, because if we loose..we have to pay the money we have received back. Ugh!

We decided to take the family on a vacation. We are going to drive to Wisconsin and go to the Dells. It's a huge water park. I told James that we needed to do this for all our sakes. We have had a rough couple of years and we have earned this. If it takes away money for other things, oh well! I'm trying to stick by that too, but it's getting hard with this court thing hanging over our head and bills, but we will survive it somehow.

So other than your poor back, how have you been? I hope you feel better soon. I left yahoo on all last night, hoping you would come on, but I'm glad you took my advice and didn't try and force yourself on just so you could talk to me! I don't want to cause you any pain. You mean to much to me for that.

I suppose I should end this, it's starting to look like a post. hehehe

This post was really just an inside joke of sorts...mostly to make me giggle. You know Granger though, I promise. ;)

Sounds like the kids are doing well which is awesome to hear. Confidence is a hard thing to build up and easy to tear down. I don't know, some kids really don't care what their parents say. It's peers, it's another people around them. I know you praise Lindsay and encourage her. It's all you can do. It will work out. And Calvin, he seems to be taking his own sweet time. But he's talking, talking about what matters to him. Such a boy. :) He'll get around to the rest of it when he's ready I'm sure.

I'm sorry about the situation with James. Hopefully it will all work out ok and he'll also be able to find another job.

A vacation sounds like a great idea. You guys certainly deserve it. The time away, time together, is always nice. And hopefully everything else will work itself out. I know it hasn't always in the past but your luck has to change.

As to me, besides the back, things are great. Al and I are awesome. My love affair with sports continues, sometimes poorly, sometimes well. Right now it's about half and half. Al and I have rediscovered comics, a cheap but fulfilling (if dorkish) hobby. Also, I'm rewatching Buffy at work which makes my days SO much better.

Oh, South news...they've pushed back the air date for the second half of season three again. Sometime in the "fall" now. Who knows...

I think that's all. Life is pretty quiet here but it's nice. Never thought I'd enjoy being settled so much!

Hopefully we'll get to actually talk in real time soon. I'm working on the back issue.
